Rick has been playing music since the early age of 3. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Berklee college of music (Boston, MA) where he graduated with a diploma in songwriting and guitar as his principal instrument.

After college he moved to Nashville to play and tour with various bands. He later moved back to Houston and in 2018 he received the award for “instrumentalist of the year” from the Country Music Association of Texas.

Rick has been teaching guitar for over 15 years He is versatile with many styles of teaching, such as standard music notation, TAB, and the nashville number system. He focuses on many genres such as blues, rock, country and jazz. He has experience working with students from all ages and strives to make learning the guitar both fun and enjoyable.
